It's also excellent to have in your makeup kit for sealing nose and scar wax. But you really have no limits. One of the best uses of liquid latex is for creating custom facial prosthetics. It can be easily molded into noses, ears or whatever type of costume appliance you need. For this reason, it's excellent to have on hand at all times. Tips for using liquid latex
Always use small amounts of liquid latex as it dries quickly. Pour a small amount into a dish for application, only as much as you expect to use in three minutes or less.
For creating prosthetics, try mixing a small amount of flour in with your latex to thicken it. You will be able to shape the latex into an object that can be applied to your model or actor. If using a mold, a rubber or silicone mold will often create a cleaner shape. Whatever material your mold is made of it's recommended to brush the surface with two to three light layers of latex to prevent air bubbles and sticking. Dying liquid latex can be done safely with food coloring. You may want to look for food coloring gel. This can be easier to remove from skin than regular liquid food coloring.
