We’ve put together a quick list of conventions that you might wear costumes to in 2018, whether purchased or lovingly crafted. So, don’t feel you like you need to stick to holidays! Of course, there’s no reason you can’t dress up on any day of the year. We can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with. :)

The Chicago area plays host to more and more conventions every year - small ones, big ones, “Star Trek” ones, comic book ones. These are amazing places to see costumes, learn about cosplay, and enjoy the masquerade. Some are huge, like C2E2. Some are smaller and also awesome, but we can’t list them all or we’d be here all month.

Please note: some dates are currently unavailable for conventions later in the year. We’ll update when we can! And if you know of some we’re missing, let us know. All of these events take place over weekends - usually Thursday or Friday-Sunday.
